Jim Schraith, President
Jim Schraith’s career spans 25 years and includes significant experience in senior operating roles at both large, public companies and small, venture backed private companies. As the leader of Compaq's North American operations, he was responsible for over $10 billion in annual revenues and a team of over 6,000 people. At AST Research, Jim was President & COO and a member of the team that took AST to the Fortune 500 list in 1992. Over the past 15 years, Jim has served on over 20 public, private and nonprofit boards of directors. He is currently a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors. Jim is also a venture partner in the DFJ Frontier fund and sits on the boards of Semtech Corp. (NASDAQ:SMTC), Clear Access, Inc. and the Aerospace Museum of California.
Layton Wedgeworth, Vice President - Technology
Layton Wedgeworth has deep experience with web technologies and has been the lead developer of several web-based business and consumer solutions, some of which served over a million page views a day and reported on over 1 billion records. Layton has co-founded several successful Internet start-ups, including BeenUp2.com. Layton's passion for developing new ideas led him to leave his prior job at a large web-based auction company to become an entrepreneur.
Bob Bennett, Vice President – Marketing & Business Development
Bob Bennett has over 20 years experience in technology marketing and management, spanning both Fortune 100 firms as well as small start-up companies. Bob has held senior marketing management positions with Intel, Hewlett-Packard, and Cirrus Logic, as well as with several software start-ups. Bob was also a co-founder and Vice President of Marketing for ShareWave. At ShareWave, he played a key role in helping the company raise over $60 million in venture financing from a blue-chip list of investors, including Intel, Microsoft, Cisco, Matsushita, Philips and SBC; then, assisted in the sale of the company to Cirrus Logic. In these roles, Bob has served as a director on several private and nonprofit boards. Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Stanford University and a Master of Management degree with distinction from Northwestern University's J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Gilles S. Attia, Advisor – Corporate Governance
Gilles S. Attia is the Managing Partner for DLA Piper’s Sacramento Office. Gilles concentrates his practice on securities compliance and corporate governance advice to public companies and the representation of high-growth companies, investors, and financial institutions in financing, technology, and merger and acquisition transactions. Gilles has advised several hundred growth companies and led many public offerings and merger and acquisition transactions during the past 25 years. He has counseled many rapid growth companies from startup through later rounds of financing and in liquidity transactions valued at over $8 billion during the past ten years, including most of the leading companies in the Sacramento Region. Gilles previously served as a senior attorney in the Office of the General Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., where he represented the Commission in the federal courts and counseled the Commission on proposed rulemaking and enforcement actions. During the past 25 years, he has also taught courses in Federal Securities Regulation, Corporate Finance, and Advanced Business Planning as an adjunct professor of law at University of the Pacific. Gilles has been named a Northern California Super Lawyer as the result of a joint research project conducted by Law & Politics and San Francisco magazines.
William H. Bleuel, Ph.D. – Advisor – Business Measurement & Quantitative Analysis
William H. Bleuel, Ph.D, has over 40 years of academic and industry experience in business management, measurement and analysis. Dr. Bleuel is currently a Professor of Decision Sciences at Pepperdine University. Dr. Bleuel’s expertise lies in the quantitative analysis and measurement of business operations and business support systems. He has authored numerous books and articles on this subject, and has been a featured presenter at industry and academic conferences across the globe. Prior to becoming a Professor of Decision Sciences, Dr. Bleuel held senior positions in engineering, marketing and management at Xerox, Taylor Instrument Company, and Barber Colman Company. He was also the co-founder and general manager of two start-up companies. Dr. Bleuel has received the Franz Edleman Award from the Institute of Management Sciences, the Armitage Medal from the Society of Logistics Engineers, and the Patton Publication Award. He became a Luckman Distinguished Teaching Fellow at Pepperdine in 1996. Dr. Bleuel has B.S.E.E. from Carnegie Mellon University, a M.S. from University of Rochester, and a Ph.D. from Texas A&M University.
Bruce F. Dravis - Advisor – Board Governance
Bruce F. Dravis is a partner in Downey Brand’s Sacramento Office. Bruce represents public corporations, private companies, and investors in a wide range of industries, including technology, energy, finance and real estate. In addition, Bruce writes and speaks extensively on both corporate and board governance. He has authored multiple books, including The Role of Independent Directors After Sarbanes-Oxley, which was published by the American Bar Association. Bruce has also contributed articles to a variety of publications, including the NACD Directors Monthly. Before joining Downey Brand, Bruce served as General Counsel for a publicly traded semiconductor company that was purchased by Intel. Bruce is the former co-chair of the California State Bar corporations committee, and serves on the ABA subcommittee on corporate governance. He has also been active on the boards of multiple Sacramento nonprofit organizations.
Sandy O'Gorman - Advisor - Leadership Assessment
Sandy O'Gorman brings 30 years of human resources experience to the BoardEvals board of advisors. Sandy has held senior HR and operational management positions with several global companies, including Applied Materials, Sun Microsystems, Sybase, Quantum Corporation, Hyperion Solutions and ARC International. Sandy is an expert at executive assessment, selection and development. She utilizes a wide variety of assessment tools while working with executives in technology companies ranging in size from small development-stage ventures to large multi-national corporations. Accurate, properly applied and statistically validated assessments are the cornerstone of her work, and leadership accountability and transparency are her passion.
